Research
The overall focus of the Theoretical Biology Group is microbial population biology. Most of our work is based on mathematical and computational modelling, but we also carry out some experimental work.
Currently the group is substructured into several independent subunits:
Infectious Disease Dynamics
Sebastian Bonhoeffer's group
works on computational and mathematical models of microbial population biology. Read more
Population Biology of Pathogens
Roland Regoes' group
works on mathematical immunology and virology. Read more
Evolutionary Epidemiology
Sonja Lehtinen's group
works on the epidemiological dynamics of clinically important bacteria using mathematical and statistical modelling. Read more
